
What's happening:
There are still berries available. Due to limited attendance at the farm duirng our past two weekends, we are planning to now be open on an individual appt basis only. There are still beautiful tasty berries waiting to be picked!
Blueberries are in season with EarliBlu, Nui, Spartan, BlueCrop all available. Summer greens, beans and fennel are also available for sale. There are also blackberries coming on and will be available for 1.00/lb.
We will update this site and the message each week regarding the status of the berry picking and available summer [produce. Please stay tuned to this page and the message line at the farm for updates as we see what mother nature has in store for the next couple of weeks as well as the bounty of berries available.
The cherry season is complete for the year.....although we had a bumper crop of both black and pie cherries. We also had a bumper crop of red currents which we gladly shared with visitors.
U-Pick flowers and seasonal veggies are also planned, as well as local honey and art work.

We have expanded our pasture area for the "girls" and have put in a new entrance to the blueberry fields to accommodate additional blueberry rows. ."Emma", "Elsie" and "Lillie" our sweet little goats are getting the hang of their new jobs....weed eating! Our new chicks are growing very fast and will be transitioning into the chicken coop areas soon.
As always we are actively seeking volunteers and community members interested in sharing in the farm. We are now accepting CSA applications for the 2010 season. There maybe a small number of members accepted yet this next year, so if you are interested, please send an email (info@moonridgefarms.com) or give us a call. We will be including berry shares, flower shares as well as egg shares.
Highlights of this next season included our expanded picnic area, U Pick flowers, local arts/crafts for sale the labyrinth, walking trails and chicks, along with our current family Buster and Rocky the goats, Tom and Trio Kitty, the flock of sheep and our paggle of pugs. Please plan to come out to visit and enjoy the peaceful countryside.
